Clay inhibitor Glycolin-10®
Glycolin® is used in oil and gas well drilling in order to inhibit clay shales
PACKAGING:
Supplied in 227-liter drums
DESCRIPTION:
A dark brown, water-soluble, low-viscosity liquid. Mixture of glycols (monoethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol), thermally stabilized by additives.
APPLICATION:
It is used as a clay inhibitor in drilling muds at well drilling. The product is completely water soluble, thus it easily penetrates wellbore walls; however, under certain temperature conditions it loses solubility properties and inhibits the well while reducing drilling mud losses. This accounts for its main application. Glycolin® also has minor lubricating properties.
